Radici Meccaniche – Italy
This work was created as a trophy for the Best in Show category of the third edition of the La Dolce Vita Trophy, a tribute to the writer Giorgio Bassani.
Mechanical gears are anchored to the central element, composed of a fragment of olive root, in both the upper and lower parts of the work.
The base is in gold and transparent methacrylate.

This artwork, designed by Stefano Notargiacomo, was assigned at Royal Automobile Club in London by HERO EVENTS to the BEST NAVIGATOR of HERO CUP 2019.
The elements used for the creation are clearly inspired by the task carried out by the navigator, in particular some tools used for its activity, and methacrylate.

The artwork “HERO CUP 2019” was made for HERO EVENTS to be awarded as trophy to the best driver of the competition for the ’2019 edition.
Stefano Notargiacomo has therefore designed a work inspired, from an aesthetic and emotional point of view, by the figure of the pilot.
The starting point was the recovery of a horn ring by a vintage classic car.

The work designed as the BEST IN SHOW 2021 trophy of the CIRCUITO STORICO SANTA MARINELLA is inspired by the activity of Maria MONTESSORI, to whom the tribute of the 5th edition of the LA DOLCE VITA Trophy is addressed.
Through her training and educational path, Maria MONTESSORI introduces new games, simple shapes of different colours, which can contribute to the development of creativity, naturally present in children.
In this work, different coloured shapes harmonise with mechanical gears, a reference to the work of the famous scientist and to that of mankind which, perhaps thanks to that sensitivity for creativity cultivated over time, has allowed the construction of mechanisms capable of making today’s adults passionate.
Eleganza in Movimento – Switzerland
Eleganza in Movimento – Switzerland
“Eleganza in Movimento” is the concept that inspired Stefano Notargiacomo in the creation of this work.
Square and circular forms intertwine starting from the bottom where a double base, round brown and square gold mirror, frames the Roman travertine block that supports a series of gears welded together.
The central element is the trumpet horn for historic cars, whose shape recalls a circular symbolism, linked to movement and cyclicity.
According to some cultures, beauty lies in imperfection, and in this work the split travertine, the dents in the horn and the welded gears are highlighted as sources of expression.
The use of Roman travertine with its natural cut, juxtaposed to the mechanical gears, is intended as a reference to the harmonious union between man and nature, just as the elegance of a vintage car can be enhanced by the surrounding environment in which it moves.

Motore… Azione – Italy
This work, entitled “Motore…Azione”, was created to be awarded as a trophy for the winner of the BEST IN SHOW category of the 4th edition of the “LA DOLCE VITA” Trophy organized by the Circuito Storico Santa Marinella and dedicated in 2020 to Federico Fellini.
To a servoclacson, coming from a vintage car, is fixed a vintage metal megaphone, symbol of Federico Fellini’s main working instrument that, many times, has been immortalized while he was directing, with this instrument, on movie sets.
In the center, the badge of the Circuito Storico Santa Marinella printed on cream-colored methacrylate.
The name of the work is also a clear reference to the jargon used on the set by the director to start a scene.

The Vespa gained a certain notoriety thanks to the 1953 movie “Roman holiday” starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn.
This lamp is a tribute to the Vespa model used in the movie, the “Faro Basso (low light)” that is the core of this work.
An original Vespa horn of the 60’s gives elegance, due to the combination of aluminum and travertine.
This valuable marble has been chosen because the movie shows a wide series of Roman views, where historical buildings and ruins were made of the characteristic Roman travertine.
Lamp.
The buckler of the headlight was recovered from an abandoned exemplary Vespa of the 50’s, stripped so as to bring out the raw aluminum to the exterior. The base consists of three travertine elements assembled disorderly and which have been affixed logos in Piaggio and Vespa styles.
